Sustainable Finance Hub
The Sustainable Finance Hub (SFH) is a key initiative co-hosted by the Melbourne Biodiversity Institute and Melbourne Climate Futures (MCF) to support policymakers and finance leaders to lift the ambition, coverage and equity of the sustainable finance transition.
Led by Simon O’Connor, SFH conducts high-quality interdisciplinary research on sustainable finance and its impacts, develops tools and frameworks to support practitioners and policymakers, and engages and educates decision-makers to enable them to adopt science-informed approaches to sustainable financing.
Interdisciplinary partnerships
MBI works with Melbourne Centre for Cities, Melbourne Climate Futures and other centres and institutes at The University of Melbourne. Learn more about our research outputs on our biodiversity research page.
Co-designed biodiversity research for a more resilient future
We partner with industry, academia, private and public sectors, and communities to advance biodiversity research with real-world impact. Our partnership model is grounded in co-design: we collaborate from the start, shaping questions, priorities, and solutions together to ensure impact that is locally grounded and globally significant.
Through our scientific expertise, we facilitate community engagement, policy innovation, or place-based environmental solutions, and invite you to join us in tackling the most urgent biodiversity challenges of our time.
