About the cluster
The Nature-led resilience and nature based climate solutions cluster brings together researchers from fields as diverse as ecology, architecture, urban development and renewal, ocean researchers, fire ecologists, economists, business academics community engagement experts, and planners and many more to explore how nature positive solutions can be understood, enhanced and advocated for in the transitional economy.
The areas of focus of the cluster include but are not limited to:
- Nature-led climate solutions, natural infrastructure
- Resilience of Country, lands and waters
- Economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits of natural infrastructure
- Climate-nature politics and communications
- Community-nature resilience
Research Projects
-
Habitat design to reduce predation and improve shellfish reef restoration
Investigating innovative design and construction approaches using clay 3D printing to create predation refugia for shellfish reef restoration.
-
Australian Nature-based Solutions for disaster resilience: addressing barriers to scaling
Synthesising evidence on the effectiveness of nature-based solutions for fire, flood, drought and coastal protection across Australia's Natural Resource Management sector.
