Ainslie Macdonald

Ainslie Macdonald is an interdisciplinary researcher from Northern Australia currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Biodiversity Institute. Ainslie holds degrees in plant science, biological anthropology, and agricultural science from The University of Melbourne and the Australian National University. Prior to her PhD research on biodiversity in farm systems, Ainslie completed a research fellowship with the Primary Industries Climate Challenges Centre, studying greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. There, she co-developed metrics for emissions reduction technologies for the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

Navigating the trade-offs and synergies of natural capital in Victorian grazing systems
Agricultural land to biodiversity in Victoria from the perspective of farmers and native species. The goal of this research is to increase the land available to native species, whilst also creating beneficial outcomes for farmers and farm systems.
